Browser settings to remember username and password

Remembering your username and password is held in your browser settings.

  Internet Explorer  

Go to Settings in the top right hand corner of the browser window and select Internet Options from the menu (also available from Control Panel)

 

Click on Content Tab

Click on Settings button in the AutoComplete section

Tick or untick, as required, User names and passwords on forms and/or Ask me before saving passwords

Press the OK button on the AutoComplete Settings box and the OK button on the Internet Options box.

 

 

 

  Google Chrome

Go to Settings (the 3 horizontal lines in the top right hand corner) and select Settings from the menu

 

Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click on the Show advanced settings

Scroll down to Passwords and Forms and ensure the options here are ticked

Close the Settings tab once done

 

 

 

  Mozilla Firefox

Go to Settings (the 3 horizontal lines in the top right hand corner) and select Options

Go to Security in the left hand panel and tick Remember logins for sites

Return to main menu
